Hello, my name is Marissa Bryce. I am a mom of four students in Keller ISD. I have been passionate about leadership and education since I was a youth. As a mom, my focus has matured to instill similar values in the next generation.
When my husband and I moved our family back to Texas, we initially homeschooled our eldest. We chose our home based on community, church, and work proximity rather than the school district. Our educational journey led us to Keller ISD when state testing at a local public elementary school revealed our eldest had a learning disability. Recognizing my limitations in addressing this at home, we enrolled our children in public school. After five years, with three of our four children benefiting from Keller ISD’s exceptional special services, I can confidently say it was the right decision.
Education has always been important to me. My mother, a dedicated teacher, instilled in me a love for truth and critical thinking. However, my husband and I have long been concerned about shifts in public education that seem to undermine foundational values. To ensure our children and their peers receive the best support, we became deeply involved in their schools, volunteering in various roles—from PTA leadership to serving as a hall mom, club leader, and even the school mascot.
Through these experiences, I have listened to students, teachers, and administrators about the challenges they face daily. A personal incident involving our child and a Keller ISD school bus further propelled me into district-level advocacy, attending board meetings and working with city officials on student safety.
Amid recent controversies and heightened tensions in Keller ISD, I see a pressing need for a clear, trustworthy voice—one that prioritizes truth and clarity. I am committed to being that voice, not just for my own children and their teachers, but for all students, educators, staff, and families across our district.
